IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The choice of a testing tool such as a meter, power monitor, datalogger etc. must now take into account the NFPA 70E safety standards currently in force to protect electrical workers. When using test tools such as power monitors users are confronted with the following considerations:
1) Does the meter meet existing safety standards?
2) Does the meter meet my company’s or organization’s safety goals?
3) How well does the “user experience” with the meter enhance worker safety?
When buying a power monitor these features are essential selection criteria to consider. The new PowerSight meters are CAT IV safety rated and are entirely compatible with NFPA 70E safety programs. Bluetooth wireless communications allows remote testing away from Arc Flash hazards to provide a safer and better, more comfortable, experience.
Be Safe. Be Comfortable.
If you are familiar with NFPA 70E the picture above sums up what you are confronted with! Now you can get relief from wearing PPE for long periods. After installing the PowerSight and probes while wearing PPE, you can then move to a safe zone to remove cumbersome hoods, visors, and thick-fingered gloves, and control the PowerSight remotely from a PC, netbook or a PDA. Bluetooth wireless communications gives you a 25 foot range, well away from lethal voltages.
