Power Quality Analysis
PSM-A includes extensive power quality analysis features:
- Trigger on voltages and/or currents.
- Trigger on sags, swells, absolute transients, and relative transients
- Capture data as logged events for scatterplots and table views of events
- Capture events as a detailed waveform view of the event
- Capture events as Half-cycle RMS summaries for recognition of overall profile of the sag/swell event
Waveform Captures
- Master scroll bar for quick navigation through each of the waveforms of the study session
- Recursive zooming
- Filter by event type
- Summary of event by magnitude and duration
- Numbered order of the event
- Trigger threshold
- Precise time of event
Advanced Analysis and Custom Presentation
- Set name and sub-title of presentation
- Custom on-graph labels
- Multitude of "Measurement Cursors", for precise measurement and presentation
- Time or magnitude of each measurement cursor
- Elapsed time or magnitude between two measurement cursors
Half-Cycle RMS Graphs
- Summary of event by magnitude and duration
- Trigger threshold, as a number
- Numbered order of the event
- Trigger threshold, graphical
- Precise time of the event
Scatter Plot View
- The Event Scroll Bar allows you to quickly cycle through event points for comparison and review.
- switch between graph of magnitude or graph of duration
- flexible triggered event type selection
- Combine as many (or few) different signals as you wish. As many vertical axes as are needed will appear to support the selections.
- Display and highlight different phases.
- Sample Values. Wherever your cursor lies on an event, the timestamp, magnitude, and trigger type of events is shown under the cursor
- Zooming. Repetitive zooming is supported to allow viewing any detail of interest.
Event Analysis
- Title and Sub-Title Control. In addition to the global settings for title and sub-title, you can set them for specific displays prior to to printing or export to reports.
- You can quickly switch to viewing other data types from the same monitoring session
- On-Screen Labels. If there is a point of special interest, insert a label pointing to the spot with the text of your choice.
- Summary Measurements. Values are displayed at the top in the Summary Header.
Event Log View
- Easy navigation among all the various associated data views and files
- Sort events by signal or trigger type
- Sort events by magnitude or duration
- All the same export methods as other displays enjoy
Percent to Standard Triggering
- The default thresholds for swell/sag and fast relative/absolute transients are automatically set as a % deviation from the standard for the attached voltage system. You can over-ride the defaults to suit your needs.
- Extensive collection of “standard” voltages from around the world that are automatically detected and used for triggering by % deviation.
Fixed Trigger Level
- Set specific trigger magnitudes for voltage swell/sag and for high speed absolute and relative transient triggering
- Optional tool to get “suggested” transient trigger levels
- Set specific trigger magnitudes for current inrush/swell/sag and high speed transient triggering.
- Select or deselect the signals that you wish to trigger on.
Waveform Harmonics: Bar Chart
- Choose to view harmonics as a graph or as a table
- Select signals to show, in multiple ways
- Optional “context summary” measurements can be displayed on the graph, showing W, PF, and VA at the time of the waveform capture
- Summary measurements for each signal are at top: including THD as % or magnitude and showing specific harmonic measurements wherever the mouse cursor is located
- Values can be presented as % to the fundamental or as V and A RMS magnitudes.
- Values are shown in brackets for the specific harmonic where cursor is located
Waveform Harmonics: Table
- Show each harmonic as percent or as RMS magnitude
- Choose to limit or expand the data shown
- Toggle between all harmonics or only odd harmonics
- Toggle phase angles on or off
- Toggle between all magnitudes or only magnitudes of relevant size
Data Export
- Capture the display as a picture, in multiple picture formats (such as .jpg), excluding the ribbons and controls
- Export to Excel for custom analysis of the formatted raw data
- Share the data file via email
- Print in high definition color
- Control the colors and line thickness for print and/or display.
