Long-Term Rentals

There is no better place to rent power analyzers! Now, you can get major discounts if you arrange to rent for multiple months at a time. Rentals start when you receive the equipment, not when we ship it to you. A 3 business day grace period is added to the end of monthly rentals to give you time to tear down the setup and get it back to us.

Terms & Limitations

  • Discount applies to multi-month rental orders scheduled at the time of purchase. Full term rental cost will be billed upfront. Does not apply to rentals extended for additional time while the equipment is already being rented.
  • Long-term rentals with discounts will likely include older (yet fully capable) model analyzers. The functionality and capabilities will be the same or very similar. For example, a PK3564 system long-term rental would likely include PS3500 power analyzers, as opposed to the newer PS3550.
  • Discount applies to eligible power analyzers and systems. Does not apply to a la carte accessories.
  • Optional services like setting up the analyzer for your specific test or generating a report after the test are available at extra charge.

Rent-Then-Buy Programs

Sometimes you may need to try out the product before deciding to buy. Alternatively, it might be more advantageous to make payments for a new system over several months without using a financing arrangement. Summit Technology has programs for both of these needs.

  • Apply First Month to Purchase: A paid "try before you buy" plan that applies rental cost to purchase credit (up to 1 mo).
  • Rent-to-Buy: A no-commitment lease-to-buy option.

Apply First Month to Purchase

If you decide to purchase the system that you are renting, you can apply up to the first full month rental that you’ve already paid (1 month maximum) towards its purchase price. This way you can know you are making a great choice before you make your final purchase decision.

If you wish to buy a new system while you are renting a system, you can apply up to the first full month rental that you’ve paid for your rental system towards the purchase of the new system.

  • Please Note: Your purchase decision must be made and arranged with us before returning the rental system.
  • Please Note: Rental of non-system products cannot be applied towards the purchase price of a system. For example, if you rented an extra current probe or an LDCm accessory, the rent for that probe would not be applied towards a purchase.

Rent-to-Buy

If you wish to rent a system for several months and then either own it or a new system, that goal can be accommodated.

Please Note: The rent-to-buy arrangement must be made prior to you receiving the rental.

 

To rent-to-buy a system, you need to make prior arrangement with our Sales department. After a pre-arranged number of months of making timely payments, notify our Sales Department that you wish to keep the system and we will transfer ownership to you.

  • To keep a system that includes a PS5000 or PS4550/PS4500, make timely payments for 10 months in a row. If you wish to return the rental and get a brand new system, make timely payments for 11 months.
  •  To keep a system that includes a PS3550 or PS3500, make timely payments for 8 months in a row. If you wish to return the rental and get a brand new system, make timely payments for 9 months.

Please Note: In all cases, the warranty for the product begins with the start of the rental period.
